Building translation competence of translation students through supporting courses: A suggested writing course at the university level

Building translation competence is an issue of key concern to programmes at university level. To achieve this objective, a host factors should be considered. This study aims suggesting writing course which supposed supporting the major ones on practical Department Translation, College Languages, University Duhok in Kurdistan Region Iraq. The dealt with problem teaching among other courses no relevance building competence. design relevant course, posed two questions are related reason behind department first place and how taught. researcher defined her objective through examining department’s mission, vision, objectives, as well institutional non-linguistic constraints. approach decided Task-Based Language Learning together its theory language learning. also tackled instructional terms syllabus, types learning, activities.
